Enclosure

The Place Enclosure command places an enclosure on the map or at the end of a conduit bundle.

Place an Enclosure

  1. From the Placement section of the Duct Tab select Enclosure:

  2. The Duct Place Enclosure dialog box opens.

Note: The 'Criteria' field shown in the 'Place Enclosure' dialog can be used to enter a partial name (e.g. the first few letters) of an enclosure 'Type'. (This is used If the list of Enclosure Types becomes lengthy.)
  3. Choose the type of enclosure being placed.
  4. Key in a unique Name and Description for the enclosure.
  5. Activate the Post check box to post the enclosure information on the map.
  6. To connect the enclosure to the previous bundle, activate the Connect to previous bundle check box and choose a wall where the bundle will be connected. If this check box is not activated and the enclosure is placed at the end of a bundle, a window opens questioning if this is where the link should be made.

  7. Place the Enclosure on the map. A new bundle attached to the enclosure is created. Enter a point on the map to place the opposite end of the bundle or click on the right mouse button to cancel bundle placement.
